D. Neither follows.

In statement-conclusion questions always try to make the conclusion false and see if the statement can hold - if so, then the conclusion need not follow always from the statement.

Here, both the conclusion can be false and still the statement can hold, which means neither conclusion follows from the statement.

i.e., $P \implies Q = \neg P \vee Q = \neg \neg Q \vee \neg P = \neg Q \implies \neg P.$

Statement - In a one day cricket match, the total runs made by a team were 200. Out of these 160 were made by spinners.

Conclusion- 1. 80% of the team consists of spinners. ( May not be true , because even one or two spinnners like Ashwin and Harbhajan can make 80 5 of runs if our main batsmen hav not scoured much. So it doesn't mean that 7-8 players out of 11 are spinners in the team).

Conclusion - 2. The openning batsmen were spinners. ( May not be true, because if openners were not spinners and got out without making much runs( I mean 0 or 1 or 2 runs).)

Ans- D. Neither 1 nor 2 follows.
