Time taken to cover 180 miles=10 : 45 - 7 : 12 = 3 Hours and 45 minutes= 3+45/60 = 3.75 Hours

Average Speed = Distance / time taken to cover distance

                         = 180 / 3.75

                         = 48 miles/hours
