Ans2. if the question can be answered by using either statement alone

A) X and Y are unequal even integers, less than 10, and X/Y is an odd integer.

As here we have to satisfy two conditions1) unequal even integers, less than 10  , 2) X/Y is an odd integer

numbers can be 2 and 6 only

B) X and Y are even integers, each less than 10, and product of X and Y is 12.

here also two condition 1) X and Y are even integers, each less than 10

2) product of X and Y is 12

from here we also conclude numbers are 2,6
